Book Club Rules

On the first day of each month an annotated bibliography of appropriate books for children and young adults will be posted on the Museum’s Web site. The titles will complement either a special exhibition at the Museum or a permanent exhibition hall.
 
The list of books will remain in place for one month, but will disappear on the last day of the month.  A new list of books on a different topic will be posted the next day. For this year only, the September list will remain online until October 31 because the registration deadline is extended. However, a new list will be posted from October 1-31. Only children who have read and submitted at least 10 books (from September 2007 through August 2008) will be eligible for the special prize in September 2008.

Students, teachers and librarians will choose a book from the current month’s list to read. Home school students and parents may also participate. Small children who cannot read may have a book read to them, and teachers may read a book to the entire class. Remember, you only have until the last day of each month to read a book and submit it to your account.

After completing a book, you will go to your account and choose the title of the book from the drop-down menu. Click on the title to submit the information. In return you will receive a message that the book title has been saved in your account.
